Bogart

Published on 01 August 2010 by riverhouse in Sales, Young Horses

Bogart, born 31 May 2010, is a handsome chestnut colt by Bretone out of SPS Weltfee (Weltmeyer/ Lord Udo xx). He is tall, leggy, and a lovely mover. This is the fifth Bretone/Weltfee foal that we have had and we love them all! Bogart’s full siblings are Betty Davis, Barcelona (AKA Banana), Banderas, and Baaron Miller. We are currently riding the three year old, Barcelona, and we continue to be impressed by his fabulous temperament.  With both the ‘B’ – line and the ‘W’ – line prominent in his pedigree, this colt is sure to shine in the dressage ring. 15K.

Bedelia (AKA Rue Baby)

Published on 01 August 2010 by riverhouse in Sales, Young Horses

Bedelia is a gorgeous Bretone filly, born on 30 May 2010, to Rue Façile (Rubinstein I / Rescator). Bedelia, or Rue Baby, has a wonderfully expressive head and neck and is incredibly spoiled… errr, I mean sweet. Rue Baby has three lovely gaits including a flashy trot with great knee and hock articulation (can you say ‘piaffe and passage potential’?). Nora is hoping to ride Rue Baby down the center line at Grand Prix, as Nora did with both of Rue Baby’s parents. Thus, Nora has priced her at a quarter million.

Will Scarlet

Published on 26 July 2010 by riverhouse in Sales, Young Horses

Will Scarlet is a handsome, dark chestnut colt by Werbellin (Weltmeyer / Legat / Lantan) out of Elite mare Gluecksfee. Born on 22 June 2010, Will should be a tremendous jumper given his genetics. Gluecksfee is a fabulous, stylish jumper who competed through Preliminary level eventing with Nora. Werbellin also proved himself as a very talented jumper – winning 15 jumper classes! – in Germany before coming to the US to be trained to Grand Prix dressage.  Will is very strong and attractive and should grow up to be a super jumper, given the talent of both his parents over fences. 10K.

Parker, a dark bay Holsteiner/Selle Francais gelding is out of the Selle Francis Papillion Rouge x Narcos II mare, Etincelle des Bois. Etincelle competed successfully internationally as a jumper, and was best known for her superb carefulness and speed. More recently she has been winning consistently in the Amateur jumpers from the East Coast to California and Calgary. Parker is by the Holsteiner stallion Linaro, who won his 100 day stallion test in 1991. Linaro has passed on his beautiful long-legged framed and elastic movement, with great freedom through the shoulders and natural balance in the canter. Linaro is one of the few Holsteiner stallions known to produce top level dressage horses as well as jumpers, and as a result he is also approved by in the Danish, Hanoverian and Oldenburg studbooks.
As he approaches two years of age, Parker continues to wow us with his athletic ability, which is coupled with a sweet and tractable temperament. He has a great frame and attractive outline. Suitable for any discipline.
