Nora was thrilled to qualify with Bahai for US Dressage Finals for a second time this year through their success at Region 3 Championships! Bahai’s win in the Open Grand Prix Freestyle Regional Championship combined with her solid performance and fourth place finish in the Open Grand Prix Regional Championship were enough to earn two invitations to Nationals at the Kentucky Horse Park in November.

Bahai was a rock star! Handling the very scary Alltech Arena with bravery and grace. She put in a clean Open Grand Prix test to finish fourth in the Nation! The Open Grand Prix Freestyle was a little touch and go, as the music was way too loud, but Bahai (and Nora) persevered for a fifth in the Nation finish! It was an amazing end to Bahai’s first year in Open Grand Prix competition.

Nora’s friend (and Bretone baby owner!), Anne Clement, was nice enough to drive all the way to Kentucky and be a super groom/cheerleader. Jeanie did the less glamorous, but much needed job of watching the farm at home! Anne and Nora not only had a blast participating in and watching the competition, but also in the awesome hotel ‘Fun Dome’ with its arcade, basketball court, and pool! Nora also had a great time seeing many of the great New England dressage enthusiasts that were in attendance at the Finals! From hanging with Kathy Connelly to catching up with Pam Goodrich, Tanya Rennie, Ruth Hogan-Poulson, Adam Cropper, and so many more. Great to see all those familiar New England faces again!
