River House Hanoverians’ Bretone (AKA Tony) is a wonderful Grand Prix competitor, a teddy-bear in the barn, and has recently started being a very patient schoolmaster. He passes on his talent, incredible trainability and willingness to work to his offspring. We have heard so many great things from people who have bred to him or purchased his foals.

Anne Clement met Bandito RH (Bretone x Feines [Fabriano]) when he was just a few weeks old and fell in love. Bandito stayed at River House to be raised, but Anne had fun visiting him, taking pictures, and presenting him as a yearling for his American Hanoverian Society registration (he missed his foal inspection, as he was born in July!). Bandito got started as a three year old and, being a very smart boy, Anne was soon in the tack. He went to the Williston, FL farm in the spring of his four year old year to get a little more training and to start seeing the world. Anne enjoyed riding him all summer and fall, and this spring Bandito is back in Florida – Wellington this time – with Nora, where he has been making his competitive debut! As just a 4 1/2 year old, he went to his first competition ever at White Fences in February and was a star – placing second in first level 3 with a 68+% and second in second level 1 with a 66+%! Next up for Bandito – maybe qualifying and competing in Regionals, showing with Anne, and some training over fences. Anne and River House are very proud of him!

Sarah Flannery also purchased her Bretone boy, Breezy (Bretone x SPS Arielle [Argentan/Matcho x]) as just a foal. She took Breezy home to raise him, but sent him back to River House to be started this winter. He has grown into a tall, handsome horse with three super high quality gaits. He has been a pleasure to start under saddle and certainly has a bright dressage future ahead of him. He’ll be going home  soon and River House wishes Sarah and Breezy all the best!
