The somewhat intimidating Painted Lady gave birth to a beautiful heifer calf on St. Valentine’s Day. We have named her Rosebud. She has a cute, white-dipped tail and a lovely refined face. Continue reading to find a picture of Rosebud with her pasture mate, Ferdinand.

Today, the 28th of February, one of our neighbor’s cows died while giving birth. The blue-grey baby heifer survived and is now residing in the barn at River House South. We have named her Blue Bell, but have also been calling her Baby Bell. Blue Bell is currently sporting a green dog collar and is learning to lead at just a few hours old. She has big plans to be the first FEI Dressage cow.
